Program Overview

·         The GWAM Ops grad program supports 8 different business units under the Operations umbrella, with locations in Toronto, Waterloo, Halifax, and Montreal.

·         The GWAM Operations organization is comprised of several business units. Depending on aspiration and fit of successful candidates, you may be placed in either of the following organizations:  1. Performance Measurement and Analytics Adding value to investment process by delivering timely, consistent, and high-quality performance measurement, attribution, and analytics services 2. Middle Office Operations Providing daily support to our Fund Managers and Traders as well as interaction with our Institutional Clients throughout the end-to-end operations lifecycle from onboarding, cash, and trade support to client interactions.

·         Other business units may be hiring subject to availability.

·         Comprehensive training program that focuses on three key, foundational areas: Customer Experience, Data Analytics, and Continuous Improvement.

·         Professional development events that focus on building soft skills, networking, and mentorship.

·         A community of new graduates working in GWAM operations from across locations, all willing to learn and connect with each other.

 

How you’ll make an impact

·         Utilize analytical skills and critical thinking to ask questions, understand business drivers and needs, and bring order and precision to scope and requirements on initiatives.

·         Capitalize on ability to build and foster positive, effective relationships to strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders.

·         Apply the training and knowledge gained appropriately – data mining, analysis and visualization, process assessment, root cause assessment, prioritization, presentations of your analysis, customer needs and NPS.

·         Deliver documented solution requirements and propose solutions in a clear and concise manner.

·         Lead meetings and present information using strong communication skills to all levels within the organization.

·         Articulate and prepare our business partners for changes that are introduced.

·         Propose business decisions that drive results and solve customer problems.

·         Day to day activities, depending on the team, could consist of valuation oversight, trade processing and reconciliation, risk oversight, vendor management, tax compliance, security lending, financial reporting, client on boarding, shareholder record keeping, data management, creation of dashboards etc.

 

What you’ll bring to the team

·         Graduating in Spring 2025 from an accredited university with a degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related Discipline.

Aperçu du programme

·         Le programme des diplômés du service Exploitation de GPAM épaule huit unités administratives à Toronto, Waterloo, Halifax et Montréal.

·         Le service Exploitation de GPAM est formé de plusieurs unités administratives. En fonction des aspirations et des aptitudes des candidats retenus, vous pourriez faire partie de l’une des unités suivantes :  1. Mesure du rendement et analyse – Ajouter de la valeur au processus de placement en offrant des services de mesure du rendement, d’attribution et d’analyse cohérents, de qualité supérieure et opportuns.  2. Activités intermédiairesFournir un soutien quotidien aux gestionnaires de fonds et négociateurs et interagir avec les clients institutionnels tout au long du cycle des opérations depuis l’accueil, la gestion de la trésorerie et le soutien aux transactions des clients.

·         D’autres unités administratives pourraient recruter en fonction des disponibilités.

·         Programme de formation complet axé sur trois aspects fondamentaux clés : l’expérience client, l’analyse des données et l’amélioration continue.

·         Activités de perfectionnement professionnel axées sur l’acquisition de compétences non techniques, le réseautage et le mentorat.

·         Communauté de nouveaux diplômés qui travaillent pour le service Exploitation de GPAM dans tous les bureaux et qui sont tous prêts à apprendre et à communiquer entre eux.

·         Mettre à profit vos aptitudes analytiques et votre esprit critique pour poser des questions et comprendre les facteurs qui orientent les activités et les besoins, apporter de l’ordre et de la précision à la portée et aux exigences relatives aux initiatives.

·         Tirer profit de votre capacité de bâtir et de favoriser des relations positives et efficaces pour renforcer les partenariats avec les principales parties prenantes.

·         Appliquer la formation et les connaissances acquises de manière appropriée : exploration, analyse et visualisation des données, évaluation des processus, évaluation des causes fondamentales, établissement de priorités, présentations d’analyses, des besoins des clients et du Net Promoter Score.

·         Fournir des exigences documentées en matière de solutions et proposer des solutions de manière claire et concise.

·         Diriger des réunions et présenter l’information à tous les échelons de l’organisation en faisant appel à de solides aptitudes pour la communication.

·         Expliquer les changements qui seront apportés et préparer nos partenaires commerciaux à ces changements.

·         Proposer des décisions d’affaires qui favorisent les résultats et permettent de résoudre les problèmes de la clientèle.

·         En fonction de l’équipe, les activités quotidiennes pourraient comprendre la surveillance des évaluations, le traitement des opérations et le rapprochement, la surveillance des risques, la gestion des fournisseurs, le respect des règles fiscales, les prêts de titres, l’information financière, l’intégration des clients, la tenue des dossiers des actionnaires, la gestion des données et la création de tableaux de bord.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Montreal, Quebec

Salary range is expected to be between

$43,800.00 CAD - $73,000.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
