About the Role: Software Project/Delivery Manager

As a Software Delivery Manager, you’ll be at the heart of delivering high-assurance cyber software solutions that our customers trust and rely on. You’ll lead complex software deliveries end-to-end, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, security, and performance, standards we’re known for across our customer base.

You’ll work closely with Engineering, Security, Commercial, and Leadership Teams, acting as a trusted delivery lead who brings clarity, momentum, and confidence to every stage of the lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead cyber software projects from initiation through release and post-delivery support

  • Own delivery planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and reporting

  • Ensure solutions are delivered on time, to scope, and to the highest quality and security standards

  • Proactively manage dependencies, risks, and issues, escalating where appropriate

  • Ensure adherence to internal delivery frameworks, governance, and quality standards

  • Track delivery performance using clear metrics and provide regular, transparent reporting

  • Maintain alignment with customer, regulatory, and security requirements

  • Maintain financial reporting such as estimations, work proposals, forecasting and internal reporting

  • Act as the primary point of contact for delivery across internal teams and external clients

  • Communicate confidently and clearly with a wide range of stakeholders—from engineers to senior leadership

  • Build strong, trusted relationships across engineering, finance, commercial, and PMO teams

  • Champion agile delivery approaches, including Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid models

  • Enable teams to deliver effectively in fast-paced, high-assurance environments

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Project or Delivery Manager, ideally delivering software solutions

  • Hands-on experience working with Agile frameworks and delivery at scale

  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills

  • Confidence managing multiple workstreams in complex, fast-moving environments

  • A genuine eagerness to learn and develop

  • Delivery-focused, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership

  • Thrives in dynamic, evolving environments

  • Commercially aware, with a clear understanding of how delivery drives business outcomes

  • A collaborative leader who can influence, align, and motivate—without relying on authority

Nice to Have (But Not Essential)

  • Experience in cyber security, defence, or other regulated industries

  • Understanding of secure software development lifecycles

  • Professional certifications such as Scrum Master, PRINCE2, APM, or PMP

  • Experience supporting or coordinating bid and proposal activities, particularly in technology or cyber contexts
