Job Description Summary

The Lean Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for driving Lean Production activities that align with the site’s strategic goals. This role includes executing the Lean Master Plan, leading Kaizen events, and optimizing manufacturing productivity and efficiency across both operational and transactional processes.

Job Description

·         Lead Lean Implementation: Spearhead the development and continuous improvement of Lean practices at the Charleroi, PA site, driving operational excellence and efficiency.

·         5S and Ideas Programs: Oversee and sustain the 5S and Ideas Programs, ensuring their effective implementation as core elements of continuous improvement across all departments.

·         Daily Management: Actively participate in and support the Daily Management routines, ensuring that performance metrics and continuous improvement efforts are monitored and achieved.

·         Problem Solving (PDCA/Root Cause Analysis): Utilize PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology and Root Cause Analysis to address process gaps, leading targeted problem-solving initiatives to optimize workflows.

·         Lean Training and Oversight: Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and support in Lean methodologies, tools, and techniques, enabling team members to apply Lean principles in their everyday work.

·         Performance Monitoring and Documentation: Measure and document progress toward Lean objectives and KPIs, ensuring alignment with business goals and continuous improvement targets.

·         Cost Reduction and Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and long-term process improvements, driving both efficiency and profitability.

·         Lead Kaizen Events: Facilitate and lead Kaizen events in both manufacturing and transactional processes, leveraging tools such as Hoshin Projects, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Lean Maturity Assessments, and productivity analysis.

  

Required Qualifications:

 ·         Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university or college.

·         Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or Lean roles, with a proven track record of implementing Lean initiatives and driving measurable improvements.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $81,700.00 and $136,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
