Position Summary...

The Manager, Specialty Compliance & Ethics – Product Recalls and Removals is responsible for leading and coordinating the company’s product recall and removal activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role manages the end-to-end recall and removal process, including risk assessment, strategy development, execution, post-recall analysis, and compliance with jurisdictional limitations and omit traits requirements. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive compliance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about protecting customers and the brand through effective recall and removal management.


About the team:

The Specialty Compliance and Ethics team leads the coordination of product recall and removal activities, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This team monitors compliance trends, develops and updates policies, and collaborates with leadership to address potential gaps. They manage stakeholder relationships and support continuous improvement initiatives to uphold ethical standards. Focused on risk analysis and process enhancement, the team fosters accountability and delivers strategic guidance to maintain regulatory compliance and protect the company’s integrity across operations.

What you'll do...

  • Lead and coordinate product recall and removal activities for non-food products, from initiation through closure.
  • Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements that prohibit the sale of certain products or products containing specific ingredients/components in identified jurisdictions.
  • Ensure all recall, removal, and jurisdictional limitation activities are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations, including required notifications to regulatory agencies and customers.
  • Partner with legal, supply chain, merchandising, customer service, and other teams to ensure effective recall, removal, and jurisdictional limitation management and communication.
  • Directly supervise senior analysts, providing coaching, direction, and support for their work in product research and the execution of recalls and removals.

  • Demonstrated capability in process improvement and managing data-driven compliance reporting.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 2 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area.
2 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
