Job Description:

  • Fixed term part time position 7 days a fortnight until December 2025
  • Specialist Clinics, Fitzroy location

About the Role

We are seeking a vibrant and self-motivated individual to join our Specialist Clinics. As a Referral Clerk, you will be accountable for managing internal and external referrals to the Specialist Clinics within the policy and guidelines of the Department of Health (DoH) and Specialist Clinics.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong customer service skills, as well as excellent organisational and communication skills in your work environment.

  • Schedule patients
  • Audit waiting lists.
  • Work with the nursing and medical teams to ensure Specialist Clinics referrals are managed in accordance with policy
  • Action booking requests from across the organisation and schedule patients
  • Call and liaise with patients and GPs

Classifications for this position will range from HS1 - HS17 ($58,442 - $64,610 per annum pro rata)

Your Contribution

  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications
  • Excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills
  • Completion of a medical terminology course is desirable
  • Experience in the health care industry is desirable
  • A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check, or willing to obtain
