Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the vendor management function within the servicing department. Manages vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Partner with, and responsible for, Exeter 3rd party vendors across Loss Mitigation. Responsible for, but not limited to, servicing vendors that impact repossessions, skip losses, recoveries, insurance, and data. In addition, facilitates regular feedback and periodic business reviews with vendor executives.  

Job Duties
Develop and implement vendor management strategies to optimize vendor performance and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Oversee the negotiation and execution of vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Monitor vendor performance through regular reviews and audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address vendor-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare and present reports on vendor performance, trends, and recommendations to senior management.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in vendor management.
Ensure vendor operations are within standards of Exeter Finance Corp’s guidelines as well as state and federal compliance regulations.
Performs due diligence visits on prospective vendors as well as periodic site inspections of current vendors.
Lead and manage the vendor management team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

12+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related field.
At least 6 years of management experience, preferably in a vendor management role.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Proficiency in vendor management tools and software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Process Management experience, certification in process management preferred.
Deep knowledge of relevant industry regulations, laws, and best practices related to vehicle impounding and remarketing.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving high levels of performance.
