Maintenance Technician PM Shift

Starting at $20.50 per hour

Schedule: Sunday -Thursday (5:30pm - 2am)

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this individual will perform a variety of skilled mechanical maintenance and repair duties on various types of equipment in accordance with accepted standards, regulations, and procedures. Some general building maintenance duties will also be required.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain and perform daily preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
• Repairs or replaces defective, broken, damaged areas/systems throughout the facility using the required tools.
• Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Keep maintenance areas clean, neat and in an orderly fashion.
• Follow through and complete all work orders.
• Maintain appropriate levels of supplies to accomplish common facility repair tasks.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, corporate, and local guidelines, including OSHA.
• Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.
• Maintains peer relationships in the field to share issues and ideas.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Logs/updates asset software for all maintenance and repair so it can be tracked.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Must be able to communicate clearly in a professional manner.
• This position requires excellent attention to detail and strong motivation toward company, team, and individual results.
• Must work effectively with others and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret written communications. Knowledge of interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings
• Must possess the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with the ability to solve practical and technical problems.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formats.
• Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.

Equipment / Tools / Technology:

• Knowledge of production and warehouse equipment

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• High School / Equivalent (Required)

Minimum Years of Experience:

• Three years previous industry repair experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Other Requirements of the Position:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule according to seasonal demands
