£31,000 per annu plus company van and fuel card

Full time - Permanent – 42.5hrs per week Monday – Friday 8am till 5pm

Mears provide tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations and Housing Associations.

About the role

We are looking for experienced Roofer to join our team in Gillingham. Working with Medway Council on a variety of residential works, working in occupied properties, our team produce work to the highest standards and deliver outstanding customer service. You will be working on both pitched and flat roofing.

• Responsible for working on two to three story properties
• Responsible for working at heights and adhering to health and safety policies and procedures
• Carrying out roof repairs and replacements
• Replacing or installing new roofing systems on buildings and customising materials for individual roofs
• Ensuring works are carried out within set time frames
• Responsible for using materials to include tiles, wood shingles and other necessary materials
• Ensuring that roofing materials are aligned with edges of roofs
• Carrying out brick work to include – Gable end entire wall

Role Criteria

• Previous experience as a roofer and ability to work on flat roofs and pitch Roofs
• A relevant trade qualification or extensive “on the job” experience.
• Ability to work at heights
• Good Communication skills
• Previous experience with Personal Digital Assistant. (PDA)
• Full UK driving licence
