We are looking for a Technologist CT to join our team of devoted caregivers. The Technologist CT is responsible for performing diagnostic procedures on patients using radiation to examine body structures and tissue.

Job Details
- Performs computerized axial tomography (CT) procedures.
- Obtains patient history and clinical data for correlation with exams. Scans all required paperwork into the RIS system. Compiles exam for reading by radiologist.
- Critiques exam for film quality and proper identification.
- Documents reasons for any variation in procedure.
- Communicates with patients throughout exam. Assists patients, explains exam to patient and/or responsible party.
- Complies with OSHA and hospital infection control policies.
- Works unassisted; responds to calls on various shifts.
- Keeps manager informed of equipment/safety problems.
- Identifies, transports, lifts and positions patients for exams.
- Performs duties of a radiologic technologist as required and qualified.
- Exercises professional judgment in performance of procedure and patient care. Communicates with referring physician.
- Evaluates patients for age-appropriate behavior, motor skills and physiological norms.
- Assesses patients for signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect and reports findings to radiologist or staff physician.
- Follows safe radiation practices in selection of radiographic techniques and protective shielding to self and patient.
- Performs receptionist functions and clerical duties, film filing and purging.
- Controls inventory and purchase of supplies as assigned.
- Maintains cleanliness of room; stocks supplies.
- Performs quality assurance duties as assigned.
- Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure (ARRT must obtain within one year of appointment to position). Maintains CPR (BLS).
- Follows hospital/system and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- Graduate of a formal program of study accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and accreditation of the AMA, or completion of didactic and clinical experience.
Certifications:
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in computer tomography within 24 months of appointment.
- Current Radiology license in the State of Ohio.
- BLS from AHA
Complexity of Work:
- Maintains competencies specific to patient population served.
- Registry in CT scanning preferred.
Work Experience:
- Licensed in Diagnostic Radiology with the ARRT in order to be eligible for onsite training in CT Scanning.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
