An opportunity to play your part – As Centrica’s Technology Lead for SAP Functional ERP, you’ll take ownership of the end‑to‑end functional design across our P2P, O2C and R2R processes, playing a pivotal role in shaping the backbone of our Supply Chain Transformation programme. This is a role where smart design meets real‑world impact you’ll champion robust, standard‑led processes, ensure seamless integration across our SAP landscape, and keep Operations and Finance perfectly aligned as we build a scalable, future‑ready platform. With ambitious timelines and big transformation goals, you’ll be at the centre of creating an ERP foundation that’s not just technically sound but built to power Centrica forward.

Location: UK-based hybrid role, Occasional travel to site.

The Day to Day:

• This role is critical to accelerating the Supply Chain Transformation (SCT) programme, where fast‑tracking the hiring of SAP Functional Tech Leads is essential to keeping delivery on track.
• With Ana Woodrow appointed as Head of Engineering and Unipart confirmed as our technology partner, you’ll help establish the core functional leadership that will shape Centrica’s next‑generation supply chain platform.
• You will own the SAP ERP functional design across P2P, O2C and R2R, ensuring robust, standard‑led processes that align with both Operations and Finance and support a scalable end‑to‑end platform.
• You will help the programme meet its ambitious delivery timelines by providing early, decisive functional leadership that protects pace, design quality and integration integrity.
• You will build internal platform capability from day one, enabling persistent teams and a smooth transition from partner‑led delivery to long‑term internal ownership.
• You will collaborate closely with operational SMEs, Unipart and The Config Team (TCT) to drive fast decision‑making and ensure timely, consistent, high‑quality technical delivery.
• You will ensure seamless integration with connected systems such as Corporate S/4HANA and the Field Platform, reducing dependency on partners and avoiding costly rework as the programme scales.

What we need from you:

• Significant hands‑on expertise with SAP S/4HANA across core ERP processes, particularly P2P (MM) and O2C (SD), with a solid understanding of how design decisions influence R2R (FI) outcomes.
• Proven ability to design and deliver end‑to‑end ERP process change, confidently navigating build, test, cutover and hypercare to land solutions that work in the real world.
• Strong cross‑module integration know‑how spanning MM, SD, FI and CO, ensuring processes connect smoothly across the broader S/4HANA landscape.
• Experience in master data governance and process control, with a clear appreciation of how good data and strong controls underpin a stable ERP environment.
• Demonstrated success working within Agile engineering teams and collaborating effectively with SI partners to deliver high‑quality outcomes at pace.
