Are you looking for an exciting growth opportunity? This could be your chance! Sequist Animal Hospital is looking for a full time Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team. We are a general practice that has provided state of the art veterinary care to our patients for decades. Our ideal candidate will be highly motivated, energetic, and compassionate. Someone who is a team player and always keeps the best interest of our patients in mind by providing quality care and excellent customer service.
The Veterinary Technician Supervisor should be comfortable in all aspects of veterinary patient care, from basic patient restraint to advanced anesthesia and surgical cases. Our hospital takes pride in our enjoyable work environment with great leadership, mentors and support staff. We are consistently dedicated to advancing our medical knowledge and procedures. Veterinary Technicians play a vital role in the success of our practice, as well as an integral role in providing excellent medical care to our patients and customer service to our clients.
The technician supervisor divides their time between on the floor technician duties and the implicit leadership role which identifies the incumbent as the supervisor, role model and “go to person” when technical issues need to be resolved. These issues may be related to training needs, inventory adjustments or management of personnel in the technician work group. The Technician Supervisor must be able to translate management’s vision (for the business side of Practice operations) into clear, concise actions that support management perspectives, guide technician staff to meet performance standards, and develop a relationship to other clinic members in an effort to support and solidify team coexistence and cohesiveness.
Preferred candidates will have experience in surgical assistance, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, routine medical care, handling medical records, anesthesia, patient handling, and patient monitoring.
