Job Description

The Sam’s Club Portfolio Insights Director plays a critical role in identifying insights to enable brands to deliver a superior, winning, insight-driven portfolio for Sam’s Club. The Portfolio Insights Leader will analyze member data, leverage existing resources, analyze category and market data, and execute primary research to discover the biggest unarticulated or underserved Sam’s member needs.  This work will include understanding Sam’s Member jobs to be done, identifying key member cohorts to win with, and delivering insights that enable improved item, portfolio, and packaging superiority with the

Job Qualifications

Experience & Profile:

  • >5 years experience in consumer and/or products research identifying  consumer insights and turning them into tangible recommendations that drive action and inspire product and commercial innovation.
  • Curiosity mindset and approach to solving problems, appetite to get to the root cause via quantitative or qualitative methods
  • Experience with initiative design process, from insight generation to concepting, qualification, and launch
  • Experience conducting primary research on shopper tensions, JTBD, products or concepts – e.g. survey, conjoint, TURF, 1:1 interviews, etc.
  • Self-starter who is enjoys solving ambiguous problems
  • Ability to work to work in a fast paced, multifunctional team-based commercial environment
  • Skillset:
  • Story tell and articulate insights (written, verbal) in a way that drives action and informs strategy development
  • Analyze multiple sources of data to form and test hypotheses, generate insights. Knowledge of basic statistics.
  • Data visualization: ability to use standard tools (e.g. Power BI) to visualize data in a clear, compelling way that drives action

Pay Range: $145,000 - $200,000

Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of equal opportunity factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skills, and level of experience.
