What You’ll Get to Do

You’ll support software and systems engineering and interoperability engineering technical services to support the Government customer in their PDSS and PPSS mission for worldwide customers, including Program Executive Officers (PEOs) and their Project Managers (PMs) and Project Directors (PDs), Headquarters Department of the Anny (HQDA) and its components, and other Department of Defense (DoD) elements. The customer supports several Programs of Record (PORs) with all aspects of software sustainment services and in the future will support additional new programs.

More About the Role

  • The Database Administrator (DBA) will support several PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server database Management systems for a variety of applications on the DCGS-A program.  
  • A DBA is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures that ensure the integrity, security and high availability of these DBMS. 
  • Experience with administrating PostgreSQL Databases in Linux & Window environments.
  • Experience with setting up, monitoring, and maintaining PostgreSQL instances, Hands-on experience with Postgres and SQL Server database administration and performance tuning.
  • Certify the availability and performance of the databases that support our systems, ensuring that they have sufficient resources allocated to support high resilience and speed.
  • Perform and assist developers in performance tuning.
  • Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime and improve maintenance of the databases to include rollouts, patching, and upgrades.
  • Experience working with Database DISA STIGS.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Secret Clearance
  • Certifications: A+ CE, Network+ CE, Security+ CE or other IATI/II qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required.
  • 5 years relevant experience within the last 8 years

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
