Position: Senior Software Engineer

           

Job Location: 10500 NE 8th Street, Bellevue, WA 98004

Duties: Assess gaps/updates/modifications between the customer/business expectations and the existing product/solutions (in case of agile methodology, for the iteration). Classify the requirements into applicable types. Anticipate the solution risks/issues during requirements gathering phase, inform relevant stakeholders and recommend corrective steps. Contribute to the creation of user stories for component/application/complex (For agile methodology). Assist in design of solutions such that the processes/applications work in tandem for specific components/modules of a product. Evaluate trade-offs while designing a component based on the business requirements. Assist in conversion of HD (High Level Design) to create detailed design using mock screens, pseudo codes and detailed functional logic of the modules for specific modules/components of a product. Create/configure minimalistic code for entire component/application and ensure the components are meeting business/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability and high-scalability needs. Assist in the selection of appropriate languages, development standards and tools for software coding/configuration. Take initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks that would be useful for future scope of work. Build scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery), Testing or any other process (as applicable). Implement telemetry features as required independently. Ensure security policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration. Map the customer requirements in to test objectives. Identify and create test cases for the component/module. Execute test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects for the entire component. Execute different types of testing using appropriate testing tools based on the testing needs. Track and analyze defects for the component/ module and carry out regression testing to fix defects in all instances of code changes. Analyze defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence of similar defects. Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application. Conduct complex maintenance procedures for applications independently. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics; Perform maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities. Analyze application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provide analysis. Evaluate change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible. Ensure adherence to the project against approved milestones and timelines.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 5 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.

Skills required: Experience with integration of Azure Virtual Machines and Azure Storage like Azure Blob Storage and Azure Databases like Azure SQL, Cosmos DB and Azure Key Vault. Experience with Google Cloud Platform with backend services to develop, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications. Experience designing and developing major APIs and notification services and leveraging the experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and object-oriented designs. Experience working with Splunk, Grafana and Prometheus to create real-time dashboards, setting up alerts, and enhancing system observability for efficient troubleshooting and operational insights. Experience using Cypress for automated functional testing to ensure application reliability and performance. Experience developing and maintaining Mobile Application Development and web applications using React Native ensuring a seamless user experience across platforms. Experience with Kubernetes Cluster effectively contributing to the deployment of the application on the platform, and ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and compliance with organizational standards. Experience working closely with other teams to understand and implement various authentication mechanisms, including OAuth, token-based authentication, and API key usage. Experience with PostgreSQL and redesigning the backend database schema to enhance the efficiency and scalability of applications. Experience implementing services using PostgreSQL and Python for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading across distributed systems. Experience using JUnit to perform comprehensive integration and unit testing to ensure the reliability and stability of applications. Experience utilizing JMX to conduct performance testing, ensuring optimal application efficiency and scalability. Experience with SonarQube including PR decoration and Quality Gate configuration to enable automated deployments for applications. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $212,202/year to $216,000/year.  Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives
