The Role: Director - Azure & Windows Engineering

The Team: S&P Dow Jones Indices

The Impact: as a Director, Cloud Engineering, you will be a key player in the Infrastructure Engineering team managing the systems administration of Azure Cloud environment and Windows platform used for running index applications. This role requires a seasoned engineer who works effectively, both independently as well as collaboratively, in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, Maintain, and administer Windows Servers in the cloud environment.
  • Develop solutions in Windows & Azure Cloud for the application teams based on their requirements.
  • Build Infrastructure components in Azure cloud for applications.
  • Plan and execute periodic patching and security updates for Windows Servers
  • Collaborate with Corporate Engineering team in periodic updates to the Windows Images
  • Collaborate with Corporate AD and IAM team in managing the AD groups.
  • Automate windows related tasks using Powershell, ansible, etc.,
  • Collaborate with Corporate Workspace team in troubleshooting and resolving VDI & Citrix related issues.
  • Work with Corporate EUC team on provisioning new VDIs, Laptops and PDAs
  • Assist in troubleshoot and resolving VDI, Laptop and PDA issues.
  • Plan and execute Windows Version upgrades.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Messaging team on Office365 related issues and solutions.
  • Manage windows file servers and NAS shares.
  • Build cloud native tools for filesharing
  • Perform NAS Migrations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in Administering Windows Server 2019 and above
  • Experience in working with Citrix Cloud VDIs & Applications
  • Experience in working with Azure cloud and AWS
  • Experience in working with AzureAD, Office365 and Active Directory
  • Experience in managing the File Servers
  • Experience in writing Powershell Scripts & Ansible Playbooks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Roughly 15 years of experience in Windows Administration & End User Computing.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $190,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
