BI Platform Administrator – Informatica with Teradata
Job Summary
Amgen is seeking a BI Platform Administrator – Informatica with Teradata with 5–8 years of experience to join our Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) organization within Global Information Systems (GIS). In this role, you will be responsible for administering and optimizing Amgen’s Informatica and Teradata ecosystems, ensuring they deliver secure, high-performance, and compliant data integration and analytics capabilities that support Amgen’s mission of serving patients.
You will partner with data engineers, architects, and platform teams to manage enterprise data pipelines, optimize Teradata workloads, and maintain seamless integration between Informatica ETL processes and Teradata data warehouses.
Hands-on experience managing Teradata systems, including performance tuning, workload management (TASM), and query optimization.
Strong understanding of ETL design principles, data warehousing, and relational database concepts.
Experience with Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT) and SQL performance troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux, scripting (Shell, Python), and automation frameworks.
Exposure to enterprise change control, ITSM, and incident management processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries with GxP and SOX compliance.
Experience integrating Informatica with Teradata, Snowflake, or Data Lake platforms.
Knowledge of Teradata Viewpoint, performance monitoring, and system resource tuning.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks (Informatica Axon, Collibra) and metadata management (EDC).
Working knowledge of Informatica Cloud (IICS) and hybrid data integration architectures (on-prem/cloud).
Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and GitHub.
Certifications in Informatica Administration and/or Teradata Certified Professional.

Shift Information:
This position requires you to work a later shift and may be assigned a second or third shift schedule. Candidates must be willing and able to work during evening or night shifts, as required based on business requirements.
