Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Industrial Security Specialist to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, Washington

Position Responsibilities:

  • Executes Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.
  • Assists with Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action
  • Assists with Administrative Inquiries (e.g., collects and analyzes data, writes reports and interviews) on personnel, processes, and situations to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Assists with Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities (to include inventory, distribution, and destruction)
  • Assists in the protection of government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures
  • Develops, implements, and administers an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs
  • Performs Personnel Security processes to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses
  • Assists in developing and conducting security awareness training and education program to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
  • Assists in Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements
  • Assists in sub-contractor management to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements
  • Assists in Lab management, providing oversight, training and inspection activities

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. 

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP and/or SCI
  • 1+ years of experience working in a classified environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent work or military experience
  • Direct experience supporting NISP programs, areas
  • Experience in National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and 32 CFR part 117 (NISPOM)
  • Experience in MS Teams environment
  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with giving presentations and public speaking
  • Experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and multiple levels of leadership

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience , 7 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. 

Travel:

This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Shift Work Statement:

This position is first shift.  The primary hours for this position is expected to be 7 am - 3:30 pm. There will be the expectation of occasional coverage to 3rd shift as mission dictates.

Summary Pay Range: $69,700 - $94,300
