This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco office with occasional days in our Palo Alto office as needed and will require you to be in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What’s so interesting about this role?

It’s an exciting time to join Grindr’s IT department as the company and our team grows in the Bay Area. This role offers the unique opportunity to engage with a diverse tech stack, overseeing SaaS systems and actively contributing to our growth. 

What’s the job?  

  • You will be the primary support for Grindr employees and contractors in the Bay Area offices of San Francisco and Palo Alto with end user technology.
  • You’ll partner with a distributed team on remote support and projects. 
  • You’ll work with our tech stack which currently includes Onelogin, Google Workspace, Atlassian Confluence/JIRA, Zoom, Slack, Macs, PCs.
  • You will administer a variety of SaaS systems for communication and collaboration, information security, and work management.
  • You will work with MDM systems (JAMF, Intune, and Landscape).
  • You will manage current office infrastructure (ISP, networking, Zoom rooms, physical access control systems,etc) in the Bay Area and be a participating member of the expansion/relocation team.

What we'll love about you 

  • An IT Helpdesk background in a fast paced environment (3+ years). 
  • You have hands-on experience with office buildouts and moves.
  • You’re a proactive communicator and collaborative team player with strong documentation skills.
  • You understand the finer details of access control across many SaaS systems - users, groups, roles, and least-privilege access.
  • Basic scripting/command-line skills. You’ve performed basic file and directory navigation. You know what chmod, ls, ping, cd, cat, etc do.

We’ll really swoon if you have 

  • Prior experience creating and documenting IT standard operating procedures (SOPs) with a focus on compliance.
  • Prior experience with IT automation tools such as Workato, BetterCloud, and Zapier, and using them with HRIS, ERP, SSO, and ticketing systems.
  • Intermediate scripting knowledge. You’ve communicated with APIs to pull a report or do something you couldn’t do with the console. You’ve committed your helpful scripts and code into a code repository so your team could use them and expand upon them.

This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will also be eligible for equity, benefits, and a company bonus program.
