The US Personal Bank Technology space here at Citi is home to deeply talented colleagues that work to design, build and test customer products and platforms end-to-end. They not only scale and mature solutions to acquire and grow our customer base, but they also support platforms and frameworks, champion engineering excellence and enhance the customer digital experience around partnerships, servicing, lending, marketing rewards, and offers and payments.

The Intermediate Software Engineer (Digital Platforms) is a position within Citi's Digital Technology domain, that provides key support to our Technology Scrum Teams who are at the forefront of enabling mobile and web channels for all journeys. You will research and present the benefits of new feature development to senior management and contribute to defining requirements for novel technology that facilitates digital channel build-outs. Additionally, you'll help identify and prioritize customer pain points to optimize user experience across all digital platforms.

This position will require you to focus on supporting multiple scrum teams with members located across US, India and South America made up of both employees and contractors. Along with engineers, you will be working with product owners and management to report status on key KPIs the teams are working towards.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate tech stack and application design into scalable code across various platforms (iOS, Android, Angular, services).

  • Address issues and provide solutions through efficient troubleshooting and the application of standard methodologies.

  • Deliver incremental features and functionalities, ensuring alignment with the established system architecture.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and timelines for new applications or updates to existing systems.

  • Lead development, testing, and implementation activities while ensuring secure and maintainable code.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers and project managers, to meet business needs.

  • Conduct root-cause analysis of technical problems and propose efficient solutions.

  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for live systems.

  • Implement SDLC best practices and participate in code reviews.

  • Ensure adherence to compliance, corporate policies, and security standards in all aspects of the software lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in Application Development or Software Engineering.

  • Strong experience with OpenShift or similar cloud environments.

  • Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, RLM).

  • Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Cucumber.

  • Familiarity with observability tools like Splunk or AppDynamics.

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on performance, scalability, and system optimization.

  • Ability to work in agile environments and lead iterative feature development.
