THE ROLE

The Operations Analytics Specialist supports venue operations by preparing reports, maintaining dashboards, and analyzing performance data to assist leadership in operational decision-making. This role focuses on data compilation, reporting accuracy, and identifying trends within labour, sales, and productivity metrics. The position supports continuous improvement initiatives through structured analysis but does not hold independent strategic authority. Work is performed onsite and in coordination with operational leaders.

Essential Functions

  • Compile and maintain regular operational reports related to sales, labour, productivity, and performance metrics.
  • Build and update dashboards and visual summaries using Excel or business intelligence tools.
  • Validate data accuracy and support data governance processes.
  • Assist in monthly and event-based performance reporting.
  • Conduct structured analysis of labour, cost, and operational performance data.
  • Support pricing, product mix, and sales trend analysis as directed.
  • Translate data findings into clear summaries for operational leadership.
  • Assist with pilot tracking, testing, and evaluation of operational changes.
  • Maintain organized data files and documentation standards.
  • Practice safe work habits and complete all required compliance training.
  • Comply with all Legends Global policies and venue requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data organization).
  • Basic experience with reporting tools or BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is an asset.
  • Ability to analyze structured datasets and identify patterns or inconsistencies.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with direction and collaboratively across departments.

Education, Experience, & Preferred Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in business, analytics, economics, statistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or operational analytics.
  • Experience in hospitality, sports, retail, or high-volume operational environments is an asset.
  • Experience working with large datasets is considered an asset.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged sitting and computer use.
  • Ability to review detailed data and reports.
  • Occasional walking within venue spaces.
