The Director Strategic Execution Surgical Retina, Europe is responsible for driving Alcon ́s Surgical Retina portfolio in Region Europe with the goal to grow market share, revenue and profitability.

The location is flexible within Europe.

In this role, a typical day will include:

Drive salesforce profitability and effectiveness by managing execution of VitRet salesforce in close collaboration with country leadership teams
Drive operational rhythm for Surgical Retina via regular country reviews, leaderboard communication and delivery of tailormade and comprehensive performance scorecards
Regular review and communication of SF KPIs to ensure optimal coverage and frequency in strategic customer segments; ensure relevant SFDC tools are applied
Oversee execution of VitRet product launch plans across Region Europe; track progress and ensure teams stay on track to achieve objectives
Ensure Sales Force proficiency
Close collaboration with regional training department and markets to ensure SF knowledge and competitive selling capabilities are permanently kept at top level and gaps are addressed at once
Competitive focus
Understand and communicate competitive threats and opportunities in Surgical Retina
Develop and implement commercial strategies to overcome competitive challenges
Facilitate roll-out of marketing and value tools to drive competitive selling skills and capabilities
Manage Region Europe VR Congresses and Educational Events; strive to excite our customers
Increase SoV via excellent promotion of Alcon activities pre, during and after congresses and events
Ensure seamless collaboration with supporting functions, follow “DRCI” and stay within budget

Maximize impact of VR events in Europe via engagement of established KOLs and “rising stars” through close collaboration with country teams
Create Region Europe VR community and allow effective exchange of VitRet relevant learnings to ensure cross-pollination between specialized VitRet market teams
Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between Country, Regional and international teams including but not limited to Marketing, HCP education, KOL management, Training, Pricing, Congress and Event management

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Scientific or business disciplines
at minimum.
Languages: Fluency in English (oral & written) language. Other languages are highly appreciated.
Experience: Candidates with at least five (5) years of experience
in Ophthalmology (marketing/commercial) are required, ideally with experience in Surgical Retina
Leadership experience recommended
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Experience and ability to travel up to 50% of time
