Job Description

Tap your business side to maximize Rockwell Automation sales for Lifecycle Services with our sales managers and distributor partners.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager- Market Access as the Business Lead, you will support commercial marketing activities, develop competency for sellers and domain experts, interface with the Lifecyle Services Team, manage performance, funnel and forecasting, and provide needed support between selling teams and the Lifecycle Services Businesses.

Your Responsibilities:

Performance:

  • Improve growth and performance for the Lifecycle Services Business Segment in their geographical areas of responsibilities. This includes both the Services and Solutions businesses.
  • Build Services business through distribution including partner delivered services portfolio (ASP) business, core-business and programs like Connected Services and ARR (annual contracts) including Customer/Partner Success.
  • Guide Solutions business both through distribution and direct business through Commission Rep program and programs like Process and Information Solutions.
  • Manage performance reporting and forecasting processes by geography and businesses (Services & Solutions).

Market Models/Sales Plans and Processes:

  • Develop knowledge of portfolio capabilities and go-to-market models in Lifecycle Services.
  • Build and use knowledge of our industry strategies and become familiar with outcome-based selling principles.
  • Develop annual Business Plan for assigned geographies for Lifecycle Services.
  • Ensure regional selling resources maintain the appropriate competencies across assigned Lifecycle Services offerings.
  • Build commercial programs related to Lifecycle Services responsibility.
  • Influence and operate across a matrixed organization including important accountabilities through distributors and through sales teams.
  • Understand accountability for total sales goals and achieve growth through indirect influence.
  • Understand and use the value of working in a team-oriented culture and building agreement with partners

Services – Customer Support and Maintenance (CSM): 

  • Asset Management and Reliability (AM&R)
  • Connected Services (Remote Support Services -RSS, Strategic Maintenance Services – SMS)
  • Field Labor and Training (FLT)

Solutions – Systems and Solutions Business (SSB) in territories:

  • Power & Control, including CSB
  • Process
  • Information
  • Digital

Support Services:

  • Lead launch of new offerings to the sales team and channel.
  • Provide feedback to appropriate department portfolio teams to improve customer outcomes delivered by our solutions.
  • Collaborate and share insights with peers.
  • Pursue personal learning and development of skills in job-related technical and professional areas.
  • Participate in calls and meetings by phone or in-person.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Travel up to 40%. Travel to customers within assigned geography will be required.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • 5+ years of Services and Solutions (or related) experience is required
  • Project management skills
  • Experience leading strategy, plan, execution and performance for Lifecycle Services business in respective region
  • Commercial and unique technical skills
  • 8+ years selling services within industrial automation
  • Understanding of Rockwell Automation limited distribution and market access model

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
