Position Highlights:

  • Position: Physician Assistant - Vascular Surgery
  • Location: Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
  • Hours: (4) 10-hour weekday shifts between 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (staggered shifts). Q5 weekends and rotating holidays.
  • Required Travel: Evanston Hospital

What you will need:

  • License:  Current Physician Assistant License in the State of Illinois required.  DEA & Illinois Controlled Substance License required.   
  • Education: Bachelor degree required; Master degree preferred.
  • Certification:  CPR certification required
  • Experience:  One year of Physician Assistant experience preferred.
  • Skills:  N/A

What you will do:

  • Position covers inpatient, hospitalized surgical patients on the vascular surgery service.
  • Performs 1st and 2nd assist duties in the operating room, including suturing, post op wound care, and managing infections.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment to patients specific to their area of expertise.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
  • Performs independent evaluation and treatment procedures in emergency situations in accordance with policies established
