Take the Lead in Shaping Safety and Operational Excellence at Svitzer!

Do you want to take ownership of Svitzer’s Safety Management System (HMS) and lead the development of our global operational risk framework?

We are looking for a skilled and passionate individual to join us as Senior Marine Manager, Systems and Operational Risks, reporting to the Global Head of HSSEQ and Marine Operations, to be based in Copenhagen.

In this key role, you will be at the helm of our Safety Management System (HMS), ensuring it actively supports our seafarers and shoreside teams in their daily operations. You will also lead the operational risk framework for our global marine activities - including crisis management and travel security.

Your Responsibilities

As Senior Marine Manager, you will play a pivotal role in:

  • Owning and governing the Svitzer Global Safety Management System (HMS)
    – Ensuring HMS is practical, operationally aligned, and continuously improved in collaboration with Global Operational teams and Technology.
  • Leading the Operational Risk Management Framework
    – Actively ensuring our HAZID and HAZOP registers are current and relevant, enabling effective risk identification and mitigation across global marine operations.
  • Managing Crisis Management Processes
    – Ensuring readiness and effective coordination across regions.
  • Overseeing Travel Security Systems and Processes
    – Managing supplier relationships and global travel security standards.

Essential qualifications:

  • Master Mariner (ideally with experience in tug operations or marine services)
  • Formal qualification in QA/HSE
  • Good facilitation and project management skills
  • Comfortable with technology, systems, and data analysis
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
