Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Windows Virtualization Engineer with around 8 years of hands-on experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing Windows Server and Virtualization environments. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of virtualized infrastructure, while also contributing to design, deployment, troubleshooting, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and administer Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) environments.
• Manage and support virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Citrix.
• Perform VM provisioning, migration, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Apply OS patches, updates, and perform firmware/software upgrades.
• Implement and maintain high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Configure and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, WSUS, and File Services.
• Maintain and secure RDS/VDI environments (Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Microsoft RDS).
• Work with backup and recovery tools (Veeam, Commvault, or equivalent).
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization of virtualized resources.
• Collaborate with network, storage, and security teams to ensure seamless infrastructure operations.
• Document configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotations as required.

Troubleshooting and Support:

• Provide technical support for Active Directory, Windows Server, and cloud infrastructure-related issues.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems across AD, Windows Servers, and cloud environments.
• Work closely with the IT support team to resolve incidents and service requests.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in Windows Server administration and virtualization.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies.
• Expertise in PowerShell scripting/automation.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with Windows security hardening, patch management, and compliance.
• Experience with monitoring tools (SCOM, SolarWinds, Nagios, or equivalent).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
