About Us

Animal Emergency Hospital of Gainesville provides urgent and critical care to pets in the Gainesville, GA community when they need it most. Our dedicated emergency team delivers high-quality medicine in a fast-paced, collaborative environment supported by advanced diagnostics, in-house lab capabilities, digital radiography, ultrasound, and a well-trained technical staff. We value clear communication, teamwork, and continuous learning to ensure exceptional outcomes for patients and clients alike.

We are supported by a strong team of 13 skilled technicians, allowing for an excellent tech-to-doctor ratio and a highly collaborative work environment.

We are equipped with Butterfly and traditional ultrasound, Idexx in-house point-of-care blood analyzers, and maintain an on-site blood bank and plasma supply. We also carry antivenom in-house due to the frequency of snake bite cases and utilize monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of pancreatitis.

Compensation:
We offer a competitive base salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience, plus 25% production

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) required

  • Compassionate, team-oriented approach

  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs

Responsibilities

  • Triage, stabilize, and manage emergency and critical cases

  • Perform emergency procedures and surgeries as appropriate

  • Interpret diagnostics (radiology, ultrasound, laboratory) to support accurate, timely diagnoses

  • Collaborate with the medical and nursing teams to uphold protocols and quality standards

  • Communicate clearly with clients, providing education and discharge instructions

  • Contribute to protocol development and mentor team members
