The Emergency Room at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens provides emergency care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to over 100,000 patients annually. As a Level 1 Trauma Center, New York State-Designated Stroke Center, and Designated Emergency Heart Care Station you'll play a crucial role in patient care by ensuring timely and accurate medication management in critical situations.

Work alongside a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals who are there to catch patients when they fall and work to get them back out there living life.

Staff Pharmacist – Emergency Department Pharmacy – Full Time - Evenings

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to practice in the NYPQ Emergency Room as an ER pharmacist to provide evening coverage. Utilize your patient education experience to build closer relationships between pharmacy and our interdisciplinary teams. Working alongside some of the city's most experienced pharmacists, you'll benefit from mentorship with the best minds in medicine, within an environment of unparalleled shared learning. Here you will experience the latest practices and technologies while playing a key role in the clinical team.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 3pm -11pm.

Preferred Criteria

  • Patient education experience
  • Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting
  • Sterile compounding experience
  • Board Certification (e.g. BCOP, BCPS)
  • Prior experience utilizing automated dispensing cabinet systems and controlled substance monitoring
  • 1-3 years of experience in area of specialty (Emergency Room)
  • Advanced training (residency, fellowship, and/or board certification)

Required Criteria

  • Strong commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience
  • Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
  • New York State licensure
