RESPONSIBILITIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE TO JOB:

• Performs grounds maintenance including planting of trees and shrubs, moving lawns and collecting leaves.
• Assists in function set up and break downs.
• Moves furniture and equipment as requested.
• Removes snow from parking lots and walkways.
• Repairs minor problems in facilities as needed and in response to work orders.  Duties include painting, plastering and minor plumbing repairs.
• Makes minor repairs to equipment.
• Picks up trash on a daily basis.
• Performs miscellaneous assignments as directed.
• Participates in the on-call policy.
• Performs other duties as needed to achieve the goals of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of day to day operations in a college environment.
• Ability to work overtime in response to emergency situations.
• Skills and knowledge to perform required duties.
• Flexibility necessary.
• High School Diploma.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must provide proof of valid Mass. drivers license and current DOT medical form annually.
• Maintain valid Department of Public Safety Hoisting License.
