Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for a Cash Management Analyst to join our Treasury Services team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. While this position is based at Idaho Power’s downtown Boise location, we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote.

What does a Cash Management Analyst do for us?

With limited supervision works with the funds management team to manage day-to-day cash flows and banking relationships for IDACORP, Inc. and its subsidiaries, including Idaho Power. Is also responsible for various moderately complex analysis and reports for the Treasury area.
 

Primary Job Duties

  • Establish and manage daily cash positions
  • Arrange for short term debt to ensure low borrowing costs
  • Invest short-term excess funds
  • Process various electronic fund transfers
  • Produce short term cash forecasts, develop, and maintain various reports for management and regulators
  • Assist in monitoring and managing bank fees and services
  • Process & report miscellaneous Accounts Receivable (A/R) payments
  • Other duties as required

A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

Knowledge of:

  • U.S. Banking environment
  • Various money market instruments
  • Forecasting and analysis techniques
  • Current corporate cash management concepts and practices
  • Basic accounting and finance principles

Skills in:

  • Using personal Computers, specifically Excel proficiency
  • Developing reports and analysis using query tools
  • Oral and written communications
  • Present value analysis

Ability to:

  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Quickly learn varied and complex concepts
  • Make sound judgments based on analysis of facts
  • Maintain positive relationships with co-workers and external financial institutions
  • Work effectively with internal customers to meet expectations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience

Preferred:

  • Finance, Accounting or Business degree
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)

Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in corporate treasury or financial institution


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. Will assist Cash Remittance, Accounts Payable (A/P) & the Unclaimed Property administrator as needed.
