Zelis is looking for an entry-level frontend engineer with experience in JavaScript or TypeScript who is passionate about building high-quality, scalable, and maintainable front-end applications. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of React and have hands-on experience deploying applications on production environments. Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality front-end components using React

  • Write clean, modular, and maintainable code in JavaScript or TypeScript

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, backend, and product) to ensure seamless integration of frontend features

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our coding standards

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to frontend performance, layout, and functionality

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in React and frontend development

  • Deploy applications to production environments using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS

  • Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes and collaborate with team members

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in frontend development using JavaScript or TypeScript

  • Experience with React, including building and deploying applications

  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern web development concepts

  • Proficiency in Git version control system

  • Familiarity with Unix-based systems (e.g., Linux) and basic command-line operations

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with state management libraries like Redux or MobX

  • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest or Cypress

  • Knowledge of containerization using Docker or Kubernetes

  • Experience with deployment tools like AWS or Google Cloud Platform

  • Certification in JavaScript, React, or TypeScript (e.g., certified developer)
