The Identity and Access Technology (IAT) team form a key pillar of the wider Group Security practice. As the Senior engineer, Workforce Authentication and Directory services Technology you will provide thought technical expertise, strong communication skills and a clear delivery focus.

Do work that matters

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the secure and seamless authentication of our workforce across various systems and applications. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our authentication and directory services infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of SAML, OAuth/OIDC protocols, LDAP knowledge and AWS knowledge.

Specifically you will;

  • Design, implement, and maintain authentication and directory services solutions to ensure secure workforce access to applications and systems.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for SAML, OAuth/OIDC protocols and LDAP
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyse system needs, and provide technical recommendations for authentication and directory services solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Lead the integration of authentication and directory services solutions with various systems and applications, ensuring seamless user experience and adherence to security standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

In your day-to-day role you will be responsible for:

  • Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, effectively communicating project updates, risks, and dependencies, and managing expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to identify and resolve authentication and directory services issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends related to authentication and directory services

About you

  • Strong understanding and experience in Ping or any other SSO in identity access management.
  • Solid understanding of AWS and general cloud based infrastructure and deployments
  • Desired knowledge of SAML, OAuth/OIDC protocols, and their implementation in enterprise environments..
  • Experience with identity and access management (IAM) concepts, including role-based access control (RBAC), single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Azure knowledge is an advantage
