Position Summary:

The Sr. Human Resources Manager is a key leader responsible for designing, planning, and implementing HR programs and policies that drive organizational success. This role ensures HR strategies align with business objectives, encompassing areas such as staffing, compensation, benefits, immigration, employee relations, training, and health and safety. She/he evaluates and refines HR processes and strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness, providing actionable insights to top management. This role oversees day-to-day HR operations, ensuring departmental milestones and budgets are achieved while maintaining compliance with labor laws and organizational policies. This role requires extensive knowledge of global HR processes and includes full authority for personnel actions. Additionally, the Sr. HR Manager partners with business leadership and HR colleagues to develop workforce strategies, leads employee engagement initiatives, and fosters a positive workplace culture through proactive conflict resolution and change management.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing strategic guidance on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management initiatives
  • Collaborates with leadership and HR colleagues to identify workforce needs and develops impactful talent acquisition and retention strategies
  • Analyzes HR metrics and data to provide insights for decision-making and to forecast future trends affecting business operations and the team
  • Collaborates with HR colleagues to develop and implement employee engagement and development programs to support organizational alignment, enhance productivity and provide career growth opportunities
  • Leads the implementation of strategies, programs and policies for staffing, compensation, benefits, immigration, employee relations, training, and health and safety across multiple regions and functions.
  • Supports cross-functional global collaboration on important business initiatives that drive profitable growth
  • Ensures compliance with labor laws and employment regulations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Facilitates conflict resolution and fosters a positive work environment by addressing employee relations issues proactively and effectively
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferable in Human Resources or Business
  • 10+ years of professional experience in a Human Resources discipline, preferably with exposure to a manufacturing environment or the auto industry
  • Possess a broad knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency while prioritizing duties and executing responsibilities with impact
  • Proficient with HRIS systems, preferably Workday
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Spanish a plus
  • Ability to travel to multiple business sites as necessary

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
