Do work that matters

As Manager, Tech Ecosystems, you will support the delivery of initiatives that strengthen CommBank’s presence in the technology community and contribute to our reputation as a technology leader. You’ll help activate our Technology Hubs, coordinate community partnerships, and deliver engaging programs that foster innovation, collaboration, and talent attraction. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Tech Ecosystems.

Your team

The Innovation Ecosystem & Tech Community team sits within the CIO for Technology function. We contribute to the broader technology ecosystem through education, partnerships, and thought leadership. We operate in a dynamic environment, where flexibility, curiosity, and a growth mindset are essential. Our work often involves navigating ambiguity, adapting to change, and collaborating across teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Your impact

You will work across a portfolio of activities that support the activation of our Technology Hubs, build internal tech culture, and connect CommBank with the broader technology community. You’ll help coordinate events, support partnership delivery, and contribute to storytelling that elevates our technology brand.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of technology community partnerships that support talent attraction, innovation, and ecosystem development.
  • Assist in the activation and operations of Technology Hubs as centres for collaboration, experimentation, and engagement.
  • Help test and refine new ideas through pilots and prototypes, contributing to a culture of experimentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to amplify CommBank’s technology stories, thought leadership and community presence.
  • Build relationships with distributed technology teams to support a cohesive and inclusive tech culture.
  • Support hub operations including stakeholder coordination.
  • Contribute to planning and prioritisation by translating ideas into clear deliverables.
  • Support continuous discovery and delivery practices aligned with product principles.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support continuous improvement across programs.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Experience in community engagement, strategic partnerships, and/or program coordination.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and adapting to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • A growth mindset and a passion for learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in event planning and delivery, ideally in a technology or innovation context.
  • A practical understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate them into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Familiarity with modern product practices, including agile development and continuous discovery is a plus.
  • Experience in large organisations or technology sectors preferred.
