Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Maintenance & Repair (M&R) Supervisor to oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair operations. This role will play a critical part in managing the maintenance team’s daily operations and ensuring all maintenance activities comply with manufacturer specifications and recommendations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The M&R Supervisor is responsible for supervising the maintenance and repair of Non-Tactical Vehicle Equipment (NTVE), Weight Handling Equipment (WHE), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Ordnance Handling Equipment (OHE). The position involves overseeing mechanics and technicians, planning maintenance schedules, and ensuring high-quality repairs in compliance with operational standards. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervising maintenance and repair activities on NTVE, WHE, MHE, and OHE to maintain operational readiness and equipment reliability.
  • Ensuring all maintenance and repair work adheres to manufacturer specifications and recommendations.
  • Planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues, troubleshooting malfunctions, and determining the most effective repair methods.
  • Leading a team of mechanics and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance supervision to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Monitoring the repair and maintenance workflow, assigning resources to priority tasks, and addressing delays or challenges that arise.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment performance in compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Enforcing compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
  • Conducting inspections of vehicles and equipment to confirm proper repair quality and operational readiness.
  • Managing inventory levels for tools, consumables, and spare parts with the goal of efficient stock control and timely replenishment.
  • Collaborating with other supervisors and departments to coordinate support for mission-critical projects and operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Two (2) years of journeyman-level experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair, preferably involving NTVE, WHE, MHE, or OHE.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with maintenance practices, tools, and technologies used in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise repair teams in achieving operational goals while maintaining a safe and compliant workspace.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to accurately interpret manufacturer manuals, specifications, schematics, and repair documentation.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple repair tasks and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Must be in possession of a valid passport and able to travel internationally.
    • Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year at the time of hire.
  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain readiness for the duration of deployment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification or technical training in automotive or equipment repair.
  • Previous experience managing or supervising maintenance teams in military, government, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with equipment safety regulations and compliance standards in high-demand environments.
  • Experience working in austere OCONUS (Outside Continental United States) environments or remote operational facilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and guide teams toward achieving objectives.
