This role is part of Alcon's Sales & Sales Support function, a team that helps provide access to products across all channels in an effort to drive customer satisfaction with eye care professionals to help people see brilliantly.
The Manager I, Ocular Health Pharma Account Management (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for building relationships with key strategic customers to drive growth and open future opportunities through insights, analytics, and joint business planning. Specifics include:
• Build relationships with key strategic customers to yield near-term growth above the market rate and open mid-to-long term opportunities
• Develop insights, knowledge, and programs to drive each Key Account’s business growth and relationship within these accounts in the near term and mid-to-long term
• Establish a coherent and state-of-the-art sales strategy and tactics for Key Account customers, considering competitive intelligence and lessons from the broader organization
• Ensure the development of pre-launch sales plans for all new products within the Vision Care planning horizon for assigned Key Accounts in co-development with Marketing and Trade Marketing
• Lead the development and execution of an annual budget, set metrics for Key Account spending, and track to ensure the effectiveness of the spend and the delivery of the operating income target
• Manage the Private label business with assigned Key Accounts, ensuring balance vs. key brand priorities
• Maintain active collaboration with other internal departments for the development and execution of key account plans
• Participate in meetings with field sales, trade marketing, and logistics to improve communication between the Key Account Management group and the rest of the organization
• Perform all administrative responsibilities, including completion of expense reports, e-mail/voicemail communications, call/activity reporting, and Journey plans
• Determine the root cause of issues Key Accounts may have with Alcon and recommend solutions with sustainable process or system improvement to fulfill customer commitments
