Job Description:

SCOPE: Responsible for the front desk reception area, communications coordination, and patient registration. Responsible for supporting all fucntions such as collecting copays, queuing patients, assisting with medical chart management. Responsible for notifying medical staff if a patient needs assistance in waiting area.

FUNCTIONS:

1.    Management of incoming phone calls to the center
2.    Business office liaison
3.    Medical chart management
4.    Patient registration, communication, and copays
5.    Coordination of all patient scheduling
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in medical office required.
Knowledge of insurance benefits, authorization process and contracting also required.
Must be able to work independently, possess strong organizational and communication skills and to adhere to established goals and deadlines.
ICD-9/10 and CPT coding a plus.
Medicare, Medicaid and private-payer practices and regulations.
