Summary:
The e-Invoicing Project Manager is responsible for leading and driving strategic solutions and execution across the entire Consulting organization. This individual will help drive value through the delivery of the e-invoicing service and software solutions to maximize revenue and profit margins. This role will lead and collaborate with the Practice Leadership teams, Product Management, Partner Enablement and directly with customers to execute upon unique value proposition of current solutions while continuing to innovate upon successes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to manage up to 10 projects simultaneously and provide guidance & leadership to all e-Invoicing project teams.
Responsible for project managing all aspects of multiple global, complex e-Invoicing projects and strategic accounts.
Reviews implemented software solutions, documents lessons learned and recommend improvements where appropriate. Owns primary budget responsibility for the project(s).
Provide thought leadership on professional services best practices, frameworks, methodologies, and approaches to partnership with a 3rd party Alliance delivery teams to drive consistency into our implementations and improve customer experience.
Continuous learning by staying current on industry trends, country regulations and mandates, and best practices related to E-invoicing and sharing insights with internal teams and clients.
Leverage existing subject matter expertise and build upon deep understanding of E-invoicing standards and formats, including CTC (Continuous Transaction Controls), PEPPOL (Pan European Public Procurement On-Line), EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and country-specific invoicing standards to develop, present, and defend rational conclusions, recommendations and implementation strategies.
Identifies opportunities for new business with existing clients and helps close new business.

Makes decisions on scope and approach to deliver value to the client.
Participates in resolutions of critical and complex design and implementation issues across projects.
Demonstrates understanding of the impact of the range of software issues affecting consultant s area of specialization.
Provides work directions and leadership to assigned projects including scheduling, assignment of work, and review of project efforts.
Ensures that all project members understand their role, expected deliverables, and task completion dates.
Proactively resolves dependencies with other projects and activities.
Monitors project milestones, critical dates, and dependencies to identify potential issues that could jeopardize the project schedule.
Implements strategies to resolve schedule issues.
Keeps management aware of the major issues.
Assesses variances from the project plan, analyzes them, gathers metrics, and develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope (e.g. original SoW and all approved changes), budget (e.g. time and cost), and quality objectives.
Develops and enhances a productive working relationship with the client, project team members, partners, and other key entities.
Provides the project team constructive feedback as it pertains to project performance.
Leads efforts that extend and enhance the project management discipline.
Occasional travel may be required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Expert knowledge of product development, information systems, software development lifecycles, facilitation and influencing, and project management methods.
Expert ability to apply advanced project management methodology (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet) to all projects.
Expert knowledge of project planning, execution, controlling, and closing.
Expert ability to estimate, plan, and track complex, technical, and dependent tasks.
Performs work without supervision. Handles highly complex issues and problems utilizing independent judgement.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, decision making, team building, presentation and oral and written communications skills.
Have strong problem solving, risk assessment and negotiation skills with experience in managing project dependencies.
Results oriented, customer focused, and exhibit good interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft office packages.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
5+ years of experience within E-invoicing / EDI domain.
5+ years of experience managing client teams within a professional services firm or equivalent experience.
5+ years of Consulting or related leadership experience.
Functional and technical understanding of finance systems and processes.
Strong operational management, project management, consulting, technology and process improvement skills.
In-depth knowledge of E-Invoicing regulations, technologies, tax compliance and financial processes, and best practices.
Professional PMP certification is preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
