The ServiceNow Developer I will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and configuring various ServiceNow modules within the organization. This role involves resolving incident tickets and service requests in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs) and company policies. The developer will contribute to building and improving solutions within the ServiceNow platform, including process automation and workflow development using tools such as Flow Designer, Orchestration, and web services.

In partnership with internal customers and stakeholders, the ServiceNow Developer will generate dashboards and reports, create and maintain training materials and knowledge base articles, and provide user guidance through coaching and training sessions. The role also involves creating and executing test cases, including the use of ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework (ATF) to run automated test scripts and document test results.
 

Accountabilities:

  • Participate in the administration and configuration of the ServiceNow application modules.

  • Participate in the creation of new solutions, or enhancements to existing solutions, using ServiceNow development tools and other programming / scripting languages (REST, JavaScript, HTML, PowerShell, etc.).

  • Resolve Incidents and fulfill Service Requests and Stories according to defined Service Level Agreements (SLA) and company policies.

  • Consult with customers regarding ServiceNow features and functions.

  • Engage with customers to create Dashboards and Reports (as requested).

  • Create, maintain, and execute test cases utilizing the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).

  • Create and maintain documentation.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT-related course (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems).

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in ServiceNow development.

  • Proficient in application development using any of the following: REST, JavaScript, or HTML.

  • Ability to evaluate business problems and develop technical specifications and solutions within the ServiceNow environment, ensuring requirements are met or exceeded to deliver an improved customer experience.

  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices.

  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening.

  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks.

  • Experience in troubleshooting ServiceNow related issues.

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) schema and CI classes. Create, implement, and maintain REST APIs and integrations between ServiceNow and external services.

  • Familiarity with Public Cloud (IaaS and SaaS) and On-Premise Data Center concepts and technologies.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.
