Who you'll work with:
AB Private Alts Technology wishes to hire a detail-oriented Data Analytics & Visualization leader to drive creation and adoption of impactful dashboards, reports, and analytics across the business.
This individual will report to the technology team but will sit within PCI and support their analytics goals. They will work with the technology team to ensure best practices are maintained and that they continue to learn and implement the toolset that technology manages. This individual will work closely with PCI to learn their business and provide data and reporting relevant to their purposes.
What you'll do:
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional, with experience building out robust and informative analyses to join our technology team. Responsibilities will include:
Analytics: Partner with technology team, AB-PCI leadership and functional teams to perform ad hoc data exploration and deep-dive analysis to provide data driven insights to the team
Automation: Partner with the team to automate internal and external reporting while ensuring data quality and timeliness.
Democratize Data: Gather and transform data to fit the needs of the business and provide access to them. Enable them to interact with the data and build out their own analyses in our tools as desired.
Data Visualization: Develop, maintain, and update BI dashboards in Sigma Computing and other AB supported tools (Looker, Power BI) to create visualizations, dashboards, and reports to help stakeholders make informed decisions
Data Modeling: Collaborate with AB Technology team to develop and maintain data models/profiles to support BI dashboards, collaborating with stakeholders to identify & document data requirements
Data Technology Roadmap: Collaborate with AB Technology team on data infrastructure, visualization, and analytical needs. Represent AB-PCI business needs with internal technology stakeholders.
Accuracy, Governance, & Documentation: Manage internal technology systems for updated data, current process documentation, and collaborate with team to ensure appropriate data quality/review/validation processes.
What We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
strong quantitative background, excellent academic credentials
2+ years professional experience
strong analytical, verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
proactive, resourceful, and self-starter mindset
the ability to work independently and as well as a part of a team
experience building visually appealing & insightful dashboards in Sigma Computing, Looker, Power BI, or other tools
experience with SQL, DAX, Python, dbt, LookML, SSRS, Snowflake, and Excel
experience with ad hoc analysis, data visualization, and data modeling
experience with systems integrations, web services, and APIs
experience optimizing data models and reports for better performance
familiarity with financial mathematics, investment management & capital market concepts
the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team environment
