Title: Overnight Houseperson
Location: Saddlebrook, NJ
FLSA: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Executive Housekeeper/Director of Housekeeping
Job Summary: The Overnight Houseperson ensures the cleanliness and organization of public areas, restrooms, and back-of-house spaces during the night shift. This role supports guest requests, completes deep cleaning tasks, and addresses any safety or maintenance issues to maintain a pleasant overnight experience for guests.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Provide professional and courteous service at all times.
Clean and maintain all public areas, including restrooms, storage spaces, and administrative areas.
Perform deep cleaning tasks, such as cleaning carpets, elevators, gyms, stairwells, and meeting spaces.
Run supplies and service items to guest rooms upon request.
Collect soiled linens and replenish linen supplies in designated areas.
Remove trash from public and back-of-house areas.
Clean outside areas, including parking lots and arrival zones.
Perform light maintenance duties, such as changing light bulbs, door locks, and unclogging toilets.
Salt sidewalks and check for unregistered vehicles in the parking lot, reporting to the night auditor as needed.
Walk the floors every two hours to report unsafe items or issues in public areas.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
Prior experience in housekeeping or a related role is preferred but not required.
Ability to follow safety guidelines and hotel cleaning standards.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness in public areas.
Basic maintenance skills, including minor repairs such as changing light bulbs or unclogging toilets.
Good communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Work Environment:
Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods.
Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Overnight shifts with a flexible schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays.
Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks such as cleaning parking lots and arrival zones.
