Are you a dedicated pharmacist with a passion for providing exceptional pharmaceutical care and customer service? We are seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist to be an integral part of our team. In this role, you will manage daily pharmacy operations, offer expert consultations, dispense medications accurately, and maintain our dispensary to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Pharmacy and Customer Service:

  • Greet and assist all customers approaching the pharmacy with a friendly and professional attitude.

  • Adhere to all federal, provincial, and regulatory/legal requirements.

  • Protect customer privacy and manage consent effectively.

  • Provide expert counseling on prescriptions, over-the-counter, and behind-the-counter products.

  • Utilize the full extent of your professional skills to offer comprehensive services.

  • Maintain a highly visible and professional presence in the pharmacy.

  • Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed.

  • Communicate effectively with other health care professionals to deliver outstanding patient care.

  • Keep detailed records in accordance with legislation, standards of practice, and policy.

  • Workflow and Inventory Management:

  • Control access to the dispensary to ensure inventory security and patient confidentiality.

  • Manage and review Workflow Queues daily.

  • Regularly review 'will call' bins following established Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Monitor stock levels and identify expired inventory.

  • Oversee medication orders and maintain optimal stock levels.

  • Comply with all documentation and control requirements for controlled substances, including reporting to Health Canada and regulatory bodies.


Operations:

  • Maintain clean and professional workstations, counseling areas, and waiting areas.

  • Engage in financial report reviews as appropriate.

  • Stay informed and responsive to store communications via the in-store web.

  • Document and report any customer or staff medication or privacy incidents promptly.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Independent thinker with strong decision-making abilities.

  • Capable of planning, coordinating, and delegating tasks effectively.

  • Proven ability to drive and support enterprise programs.

  • Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in action planning.

  • Proficient in personal computing and pharmacy systems.

  • Adherence to Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Commitment to completing mandatory training and continuing education.
