Overview:

2020 Companies is seeking an immediate full-time seasonal Program Events Manager representing our client, Samsung.

Dates: 9/27/24 – 10/20/24 

Hours:  Shifts between 8:30 am – 9:30 pm

Days: As needed per event (weekdays, evenings, and weekends)

Pay: $40/hr + Program Conclusion Incentive

Location: Texas State Fair

The Program Events Manager is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about event management. As a manager, you will oversee a team of Product Specialists who demonstrate and promote Samsung Electronics America's cutting-edge devices. Your role will involve creating brand awareness through engaging interactions with prospective customers.

Your Role as a Field Operations Manager is to:

  • Coach Product Specialist on Samsung products and promotions

  • Manage time cards, create schedules, and ensure compliance

  • Ensure the team is exceeding client expectations and applying company policy and procedures

  • Motivate and drive team to meet or exceed goals

  • Maintain a high energy and professional attitude at all times

  • Create a memorable and positive experience for customers and client

  • Assist in driving sales and customer experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication skills and experience in consumer-facing environments (sales, customer service, etc.)

  • Has a proven record of leading and managing a team with at least 1-year experience.

  • Always energetic with a big personality and ability to “hype” a group as small as 1, to as large as 100

  • Interested in one or more areas in technology, social media, gaming, beauty and fashion, music, Health & Wellness

  • Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and customers

  • Flexible and adaptable with a passion for teamwork and innovation

  • A good understanding of systems - Salesforce, and Office 365 (PowerPoint, Excel) are a plus!

Job Description:

  • Supervise team members

  • Professionally resolve customer complaints; escalate as appropriate

  • Accurately submit work schedules to the Manager for approval

  • Coach team to ensure demo engagements are being executed

  • Ensure compliance with Company policy and procedures

  • Accurately track inventory receipt and count as appropriate

  • Review time sheets for accuracy

  • Meet or exceed key metrics

  • Courteously welcome customers, offer assistance, assess needs and suggests products

  • Responsible for accurately tracking and communicating all activity to Retail Operations

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Performance Measurements:

  • Achieve posted store activation goal

  • Meet established monthly/weekly personal sales quota/goals

  • Customer/client satisfaction based on rejection percentage and substantiated complaints

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Business degree preferred

  • Demonstrated long-term excellent sales performance

  • Proven record of successful management/leadership. 2+ years preferred

  • Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment

  • Ability to work flexible weekends including evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
