Pay Range
$54.90 - $82.35The rehabilitation psychologist will provide services to children and adolescents who are admitted for interdisciplinary treatment on the inpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) service. Duties will include: Inpatient assessment and consultation to formulate diagnostic impressions and treatment plans; Provide psychotherapeutic intervention to patients throughout their admission; Work collaboratively with other disciplines, including nursing, medical providers, child life specialists, social work, trauma network, and rehab therapies; Facilitate or provide brief psychotherapy follow-up after discharge; Attend care team meeting weekly (2 hours) and 30-minute huddle 3x/week. There will be opportunities for new program development and training of psychology practicum students.

Works in a patient care area with potentially combative or self-destructive patients. Each employee has the responsibility to work in a safe manner. Work requires walking, standing, lifting, reaching, and handling of charts and supplies.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from, an APA approved training program required; license eligible or currently licensed as a Licensed Practicing Psychologist from the N.C. State Board of Examiners of Practicing Psychologists required. BLS required per policy guidelines. pediatric psychology experience and specific interest in the physical medicine and rehabilitation population preferred
