Job Summary:
This incumbent candidate will manage the Product Development Excellence Quality and Cost Process and Tools team. The primary job responsibility is to partner with product groups, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to improve applications and analytics associated with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and cost reduction efforts. This position requires extensive experience in developing people, process improvements, and tool development (dashboard, EtQ, analytics). With rapid growth of enterprise digital threads, this candidate will also lead / collaborate with the partners in Cat Digital, IT, product group in developing digital solutions related to product development.
What You Will Do:
• Managing the engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on organizational goals achievement, professional development and continuous improvement.
• Monitoring and continuously improving product and process performance, quality and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables.
Providing leadership to leverage the new technology and innovation to continue improve the useability of current tools / dashboard in APQP, should cost, NPI space.
Education Requirement:
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Analytics curriculum.
