About the team:

SFTC – Security Finance Trading & Collateral team helps our clients to comply with regulations, achieve collateral optimization and handle the volume and complexity of collateral management activities. Our solution offers a single platform for trading directly from a real-time and consolidated global inventory as well as supporting operational requirements for underlying securities lending, repo and

derivative transactions. It uses numerical algorithms to automatically allocate collateral in the optimal way, helping firms minimize costs and maximize return on assets.

What you will be doing:

You will be a part of agile driven multicultural team working on a leading financial platform together with other software developers, business analysts and product owners. As IT Architect, you will be working with development teams and will be involved in all the aspects of software engineering life cycle: coding, reviewing code, building tests, architecting, deploying software as well as mentoring.

More specifically, on your job you will:

· Directly supervise and manage development processes with daily regular interactions with developers, sharing the knowledge and providing technical guidance.

· Participate in software development, code reviews and technical architecture definition.

· Lead by example in creating code that adheres to defined standards and raises the bar with respect to quality.

· Write, modify, integrate, test, and maintain software codes according to the best practices of the industry making sure to be in line with platform and company standards.

· Analyze requirements and design solution to ensure that product meets business needs.

· Identify and communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions.

· Provide development activities estimates as input to the project's plans.

· Research and evaluate a wide range of software development best practices, such as code style, code quality and performance requirements.

· Participate in our agile, test-driven development process, planning sessions, and work closely with other team members to analyze requirements and provide design recommendations.

· Engage in constant stack and software modernizations of the product by sharing your ideas and vision.

· Grow your skillset in close association with your teammates and other industry specialists from our wider organization.


What you bring:

· A bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience

· At least 10+ years hands-on professional experience as a developer in the Java enterprise environment

· Experience with modern development environments, in software patterns and architectural enterprise concepts

· Very good expertise in the Java SE/JEE language

· Hands on experience with Spring Framework and Middleware, JMS and JPA/Hibernate.

· Experience with dealing with large datasets and performance tuning

· Hands-on experience with Concurrent Programming, Testing/Mocking Frameworks and working with Caching technologies.

· Good understanding of SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)

· Adapting and integrating open-source frameworks and technologies

· Experience with DevOps concepts (Continuous Integration and Delivery)

· Experience working in a team across the whole development lifecycle.

· Experience in working in a distributed and fast-paced environment.

· Eager to dive into and learn more about the business domain.

· Very strong communication skills and fluent in English


Added bonus if you have:

· Experience with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift/CI

· Experience with Apache Camel
