What You Will Do at Graco

Join Graco as a Software Engineer for the QED Environmental Division in Dexter, MI.  In this role, you will design and qualify software applications for industry-leading gas analyzers in environmental, industrial and renewable energy markets worldwide.

In this role, you will be one of the software engineering leaders responsible for developing integrated applications that program, configure, and calibrate our gas analyzers.  You will write your own code as well as oversee the progress of external developers.  Our software engineers write embedded firmware and control algorithms, design user interfaces, iOS and Android Apps, work with marketing, manufacturing, end-user customers, and much more.

  • Apply your engineering skills to solve complex challenges
  • Full stack development of internal tools, websites, and APIs
  • Write and debug C# WPF projects
  • Write and debug C# REST services
  • Propose changes and improvements to existing infrastructure software
  • Lead, delegate, and review the work of offshore development teams
  • Develop APIs to integrate with SQL databases and Oracle ERP systems
  • Review stories, backlogs, PBIs, bugs, automated builds and deployment via MS Azure
  • Assist in the development of the regression testing and QA process
  • Establish product requirements and performance targets
  • Create and execute product qualification plans
  • Interact daily on-site with team, including lab work, project meetings, and design discussions
  • Provide A+ customer experience to both external and internal customers

What You Will Bring to Graco

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related
  • 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience with asynchronous C# development
  • Experience with SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and other web focused technologies
  • Experience with version control software (git)
  • Problem solving, technical, math and science skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Positive attitude, ability to work in a team, interest in leadership, self-motivated
