The Opportunity

For our team in Madrid, we are looking for a Project Manager/Customer advocate, who will be leading the execution of medium-size projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets and manage the whole relationship with the customer.

How you will make an impact

  • Lead the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.

  • Provide performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects; Ensure that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with policies and contractual agreements.

  • Define, jointly with the Project Controls department, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans;

  • Ensure that the project follows execution best practices and policies. Identify, qualify, quantify and manage project risks, and ensure that all opportunities are identified and pursued.

  • Effectively monitor and control project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitor and control project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow.

  • Capture, analyze and share lessons learned throughout the project.

  • Ensure that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.

  • Act as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.

  • Detect and develop new sales opportunities in the customer side.

  • Negotiate the service contracts.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.

Your background

  • A bachelor’s/master’s degree in Engineering

  • Between 3 to 5 years of experience in project management

  • Additional training in the area of project management

  • Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, schedules and vendors/subcontractor

  • Customer oriented, with excellent organization and strong communication skills

  • Mastery in balancing stakeholders, both external and internal.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Italian/French will be a plus.  

  • Current work permit valid in Spain.

  • PMP Certification will be a plus.

  • Available to travel up to 10% of the time.
