We are looking for talented Principal Engineers to join our dynamic team as part of our multi-year Enterprise Transformation Program. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to help shape and deliver a visionary strategy focused on enhancing customer experiences and building resilient, future-proof technology.

As a Principal Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping technical strategies and driving solutions to address the program's most complex challenges. You’ll use your expertise to ensure we build a secure, scalable foundation from the ground up, applying a security-first mindset at every step.

We’re Interested in People Who:


- Have experience with breaking down monolithic architectures into manageable pieces.
- Have built microservices at scale or APIs that handle over 1000 transactions per second.
- Have worked with event-driven architectures and understand their real-world applications.
- Have experience in managing microservices in a DevSecOps environment.
- Approach technical debt pragmatically, balancing commercial priorities and innovation.
- Can influence and guide technical direction and strategy across the business.
- Have solved complex technical problems, including integrating new tools and phasing out outdated systems.
- Promote diverse, inclusive teams while encouraging innovation and challenging the status quo.

Skills Required:

This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll have the chance to work across a wide range of technologies, tools, and frameworks. We’d love to hear from you if you have experience in:

- Building 3-tier applications across cloud and on-premise environments, particularly with:
- Frontend: React, Redux (preferred) or Angular.
- Backend: .Net Core (preferred), Java or Rust.
- Databases: SQL and NoSQL, with experience in both administration and usage.
- Designing and implementing microservices and highly scalable APIs.
- Using programming and scripting languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or Python.
- Working with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus etc.
- Leveraging IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Driving quality with automated testing (Unit and Regression Testing).
- Designing robust systems and solutions with a focus on security and scalability.
- Ensuring observability and performance monitoring.
- Promoting code quality through peer programming, code reviews, and automated release pipelines.
- Mentoring and developing the next generation of engineers.
