As a Medical Operations Manager, you are Responsible to execute medical operational strategy, based on medical affairs strategy and aligned with Global  Medical Operations goals. Responsible for effective utilisation of Medical Operations tools, systems and processes, that enable Medical Affairs teams to function compliantly and effectively. Responsible to collaborate with and effectively influence internal and external stakeholders to deliver medical operation strategy, and embody culture of innovation and collaboration within Medical Operations team. 

In this role, a typical day will include: 

• Implement operational strategy, long-term planning and execution via effective cross-functional interactions. Closely collaborate with Director, Regional Medical Affairs, to ensure Medical Operations goals are aligned with MA strategy. 

• Implement and maintain globally aligned metrics and reporting tools. Utilize innovation to solve complex problems across. Maintain databases and documentation systems to enable generation of accurate monthly metrics.  

• Point of contact for IIT program in designated region. Responsible for IIT administrative activities, including ensuring accurate and up to date documentation in IIT databases, administrative support for contracts, management of payments and facilitation of IIT product supply. Provide support for FMAs in IIT associated activities, including as needed, systems and process training support. 

• Support Share of Voice activities, as required, including tracking, and reporting of Congress and Publication SOV.  

• Subject Matter Expert and Point of Contact for MA Customer Relationship systems &  related processes. Provide first line support, including, as required, training to MA associates. 

• Ensure vendor management, and payment processes across are compliant, effective, and undertaken within relevant timeframes. 

• Core member of Regional Medical Operations team 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:   

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a Health Science related discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 

• Certification in project management or related discipline is desirable, ability to plann and lead execution of complex projects 

• Ability to read fluently, write, understand, and communicate in both Chinese and English. 

• Ideally have the Finance background and have experience in Clinical or MA functions 

• Development of business goals and objectives for cross-geography and cross-functional organizations 

• Develop and drive operational metrics, reporting, and tools across all pillars of the medical organization 

• Decision making driven by data and enterprise considerations 

• Cross functional collaboration with demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders using data and domain expertise 

• Knowledge and experience in all aspects of medical affairs, including clinical research in product development, and investigator-initiated studies   

• Expertise in review/approval of content of documents for medical accuracy 

• Demonstrable knowledge of health authority and local regulations to ensure full adherence to compliance requirements 

• Development and delivery of effective presentation to executive stakeholders 

• Expertise in working in a multidimensional matrix environment  

• Strong sense of integrity and proven understanding
