Job Purpose:

Our Machine Operator will safely and efficiently operate a machine and will work on a variety of positions to supply technical and labor support to production areas as needed for the facility operation. Responsibilities also include ensuring product produced is ready for shipment to customers based on quality and customer specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

● Use and set up machine to operate each job according to customer specifications and quality requirements while meeting internal and external deadlines and following all safety policies and regulations.
● Perform routine preventive maintenance and other repairs when needed.
● Actively participate in Company's continuous improvement process by seeking ways to improve systems and drive cost out of the process.
● Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, job tickets, and procedure manuals furnished in written oral, diagram, or schedule form to run jobs on machine.
● Work together with other departments to make sure job is produced and shipped out correctly.
● Perform other duties as assigned like assisting in other departments and working on special projects as needed.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

● Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

● Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team.

Work Experience:

● 1-3 years of related job experience.

● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.

● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.

Education:

● High School Diploma/GED

This job operates in a production environment using standard equipment with exposure to loud noise, dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, and moving vehicles. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and see.

The physical requirements listed below are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 
● Walking/Standing - walk and stand when operating machine
● Ability to lift, twist, push, pull, and carry items weighing a few ounces up to 150 pounds with assistance when needed, and utilize pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified) for skids weighing up to 2,000 pounds
